This is a great hack for all you PlayStation 2 owners out there. Rob Nelson, from the Ars Technica site, did an excellent write-up on how to get rid of those annoying read disc errors.
The tools needed for this job are 2 phillips (1 normal, 1 small) screwdrivers, 1 flathead screwdriver, a pair of plyers (maybe) and 1 can of compressed air. Rob takes us through the disassembly and cleaning of the PS2 unit. He also explains the best way to adjust the PS2 lens position. With a lot of patience and a little luck you should have your PlayStation up and running in no time!
