The guys over at Inventgeek.com came up a bitchen DIY write up on how to make your very own Kite Kart.
Okay, I know what you might be wondering what in the heck a kite kart is. Well, according to Jared Bouck (the hack creator), a kite kart is a "strange cross between a go cart and a large parafoil kite." You use these bad boys to speed across flat surfaces such as lake ice or salt flats. How did he do it? Well, he took a race car seat and mounted it on a frame made out of square steel tubes, which he welded together. He then slapped on a steering apparatus, three 10" tires, a kite and voila he had his very own kite kart...okay, so there was a little more too it than that. But, all said and done the kite kart hack cost about $150 - $300 and took about three hours to complete. Pretty sweet!
Anyways you can check out the whole write up by clicking here.
