Here's a nifty little hack from the Instructables site, in which you can create your very own dual motor electric tricycle (trike) from scratch!

Smegger (hack creator) set out to make a trike for his school project, but not just any trike. Smegger wanted to make a trike that wouldn't need to be peddled, a trike that was self-propelled by dual electric motors. So, how did he do it? Well, the main frame of the trike was made from about three meters of 35mm box steel and an old bicycle head tube. After the main frame was completed, smegger created motor mounts from more box steel and angle iron, and then machined some wheel sprockets. Finally, he slapped on an electric motor and battery and wired the bad boy up and bing, bang, boom he had his electric tricycle.
