Well, I did the whole Windows thing when I posted a few hacks on how to increase the speed of your PC and how to optimize your Windows computer's performance in 5 minutes or less. Then I decided to go all Mac on your asses with a MacBook anti-theft alarm hack and 11 more cool MacBook SMS hacks. So, what's the logical next step? Yup, we're taking this to the terminal and hacking it up Linux style!
As I was perusing (it's a word!) the latest posts on the Lifehacker site, I came across a hack I knew I just had to share with you guys. It involves setting up multi-touch finger gestures on a Linux powered laptop. Ravi from the Ubuntu Snippets blog has posted a nifty code, that allows Linux laptop owners to do many of the same finger gestures you can on the iPhone and Mac laptops. Lifehacker notes that although this particular code was written for the Ubuntu 8.10 operating system, it "would likely work for other modern Linux distributions."
So, how can you set up multi-touch finger gestures on your Linux laptop? Head on over to the Ubuntu Snippets blog and simply copy & paste the code into a new terminal file, restart, and enjoy that Linux multi-touch goodness! Enjoy!! :-)
